My Baby is 6!!!!!

It is party time!!!! We had a blast at the local roller rink. The kids skated, played, danced, and jumped in the balls. I really don't think I even saw Jiles the entire time but for only 20 minutes. We opened presents, ate cake and ice cream, and went back to having fun. For the ones that know me this was quite a different party than in the past. I am usually the mom that has a theme, games, toys, centers, and more at the party and by the time it is all over I am sweating and didn't even get to talk with anyone. This year I decided I wanted to go somewhere and just show up... so that is what we did. The Roller Dome provided everything. It was GREAT!! I did bring sanitizer just because all the germs freak me out a bit but other than that it was fabulous. I remember skating there as a kid and it hasn't changed much and neither has the skates I don't think. So as you can see... you just can't think about the germs and just have fun.
Here is my baby blowing out his 6 candles. Wonder what he wished for??????

Jiles and his good friend Cole. They have known each other since birth. He is a sweetie.

Jiles and his favorite person in the world.... Cousin Colby. He thinks Colby hung the moon and could do anything. Thanks Colby for coming. It made Jiles day. :)

Hey down there!!!!! They have a play area in the back with balls, slides and tunnels. The kids love it back there. This wasn't around when I was a kid but it sure looks like fun to me. Last week at another party I skated. I haven't done it in forever but I thought I would practice before Jiles big day. Well I did great. Went fast and even skated backwards. It all came back in no time. Well this past week I stepped on something at my parent house coming off the steps and turned my ankle. It was swollen, black, and purple since Tuesday. I am still hobbling but it is better, but I didn't get to skate at the party. What a bummer... I wanted to show off my moves, maybe next year.
Well, I can't believe 6 years ago at 3:15 in the morning God sent me the most precious gift in the world. He weighed 8 pds and 12 oz. He was 20 inches long and came out screaming. It took him 15 hours to get here an then a C-section but he finally made his grand entrance into this world. Jiles has been the light of my life ever since I laid eyes on him. He is the kindest, gentlest, funniest, sweetest boy you have ever known. I am so glad God chose me to be his mom. I can't wait for him to be a big brother. He will be such a great one. I love you Jiles and Mom and Dad are so proud of you. May God keep you safe and I pray that you hold him close and always reach to him in your times of need.
Love you to the moon and back, Mom

Such a sweet post for your son!! I was at a playdate yesterday and this mom had 2 Korean daughters she adopted...I told her about you...the first adoption took 18 months from start to finish..the second 3 months...She said the second one just fell in their lap since they'd already adopted from there once...The older one was school age and wasn't there, but the younger was julia's age 5!! So cute, kristi
