Well, today is Mother's Day I thought how appropriate would it be to post about our referral call.
But first I want to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all of you out there. This is the day the Lord gave us to recognize and show our love to our Moms. My mother is a Godly women that loves her King. She is so compassionate and shows grace and mercy to everyone around her. She made me the woman I am today and I thank God for her daily. I pray that I can live a life of love just as she does. We are best friends and do so much together. We work almost side by side everyday and most people would not like to work daily with their mother but for me it is great. I love seeing her smiling face each morning. She also gives me a Dt. Mt. Dew each day as well. What a woman!!! She is the best Nana and Jiles thinks the world of her. She carries Lennon's picture around with her and shows off the newest addition to her grand babies. I am so proud of my Momma and love her so much. We talk almost 3 or 4 times a day. I know... I know we always forget something and have to call each other back. Well today is your day MOM and I LOVE YOU!!!
As for me.... I am so blessed to now be the mother of two sweet angels. God has allowed me to give birth to our son and now we have one waiting in Korea for us. I hope these months go by fast. On Tuesday 5/5/09 was the day that made me a mother of 2. It started like every other day. Work...went to the YMCA to workout and then home for supper and bed time routines. The past 2 days I had forgotten my cell phone and had a funny feeling that day and almost went home to get it but decided no it would be there when I get home. The good thing is my agency is 2 hours behind us and I knew if they had called then they would still be at work when I got home. When Jiles and I got home I checked the phone... NADA!! Oh well... always tomorrow I thought!
So started cleaning the kitchen, talked to a friend, started supper, answered the door, and then the phone rang!!!! I looked at the caller ID (Eugene, Oregon).... hmmm... THAT IS HOLT!!! I screamed. Answered and Jessica was on the other end. She said "Is this Rhea Anne?" "yes" I said. "Is this a good time to talk?"....."Duh...spit it out".... that is what I wanted to say but instead I said "yes, do you have something to tell us?" Then she started telling us about our daughter. It was so wonderful. She then said she would e-mail us her file and picture. I ran to the computer with Jeremy and Jiles. Then I realized the computer was down at school and my e-mail wasn't going to work.
Jeremy was calm... I was not!!! I called Holt 2 times before I spoke to anyone and then she sent it to another e-mail address. This 5 minutes was like 2 hours. We opened up her file and then got to her sweet picture. We couldn't get that smile off of our face. She is here. This is the one we have been praying for for so long. It was a wonderful day!!!!
This day made my Mother's Day so much more special. I have been waiting for so long to be a Mother of two sweet babies. My God has heard and answered my call. Just like Hannah-Our God gave me my desires in his perfect timing. I feel so blessed. Thank you God for allowing me to be a mother of two precious gifts from you. (Can't wait to take our first picture of Me and my 2 children)
Hug on your Mom today and thanks for following our journey. Have a great week hope we get more pictures soon. :)
